All-Night Baseball & Eagle River

Our wonderfrul hosts, Mark & Karen Crawford of HouseMaster-Anchorage http://www.anchorage.housemaster.com/ Mark caught this red salmon today on the Kenai River. We eat it tomorrow night!

Saw a baseball game at night with no lights between the Anchorage Bucaneers and the Anchorage Pilots - - top-notch college players from around the country who compete in the summertime. Very famous players have come from this league including Randy Johnson. $5 a ticket and REAL baseball feeling. Fantastic plays! We saw the center fielder throw out the runner at home plate right before our eyes, plus a fabulously hit 3-run homer.

Today we went out to see our old friends we knew at Ramstein AB Germany: the Lerch family: John & Lennett with kids Carson, Camden, Joey and Jack. JC is a freshman at USAFA, so we missed him. Then we were advised to go see the Eagle River Nature Center and take a hike around there.

Baseball at 9:00pm.
